Prevention Services

Recovery Center
IVRS’ Recovery Center serves as a vital tool in relapse prevention. IVRS links recovering individuals to a vast array of aftercare services and fellowship through its Recovery Center.
Annually, an estimated 3000 recovering individuals and their families are given the opportunity to achieve healthier lifestyles and become productive members of the community through participation in Recovery Center activities.

Mystic Coffee Shop
Situated inside IVRS’ Recovery Center is “Mystic Coffee”, a coffee shop serving specialized coffee drinks (comparable to Starbucks) and other non-alcoholic beverages.
Mystic Coffee hosts a number of agency events along with the annual client Christmas Party. Mystic Coffee features a small Serenity Gift Shoppe and hosts several social activities including dances, karaoke, comedy shows and televised sporting events.
Mystic Coffee provides a “safe” place for individuals to come and “hang out”, shoot pool, watch TV, play video games, drink coffee or chat with friends at the end of the day.

Parent Project
The Parent Project is designed specifically for parents of strong-willed or out-of-control adolescent children. The curriculum teaches concrete prevention, identification, and intervention strategies for the most destructive of adolescent behaviors (i.e. poor school attendance and performance, alcohol and other drug use, gangs, runaways, and violent teens). The truth is that parents have the influence and power to help their children and thereby change the communities in which they live. The Parent Project shows them the way.

Alumni Association
IVRS Services established a strong, supportive and interactive alumni program. A common statement we hear from members is "Inland Valley saved my life!”
The Alumni Association provides the ongoing social support essential for successful recovery. The association coordinates volunteer services and hosts several special social events. Volunteers give generously of their time to provide a forum for continuing interaction between Inland Valley and its program alumni.
In addition, alumni volunteers provide program support, serve as role models to newer clients and participate in aftercare groups. Membership is open to anyone who has completed a treatment program or has a genuine interest in the mission of the agency.
